Northern Climate Specification Qualified Products List Updates

The Northern Climate Specification Qualified Products List for heat pump water heaters (HPWHs) has seen a few changes in 2015, including the addition of the first Tier 2/3 products with Cold Climate Efficiency (CCE) mode. Here’s a summary of what’s new:

 

The Bradford White Aerotherm 50- and 80-gallon models were listed as Tier 2/3 products on May 15, 2015.

  • Available exclusively at wholesale
  • Tier 2 product when in default mode, Tier 3 product when in ‘CCE’ mode
  • Ducting kit available
  • Product specifications and other resources available at bradfordwhite.com

The new GE GeoSpring 50- and 80-gallon models were listed as the first Tier 2/3 product on February 23, 2015.

  • “Retail” series available at retail
  • "Pro” series available at wholesale
  • Tier 2 product when in default mode, Tier 3 product when in ‘CCE’ mode
  • Ducting kit available
  • Product specifications and other resources available on geospring.com or geospring.com/pro.

The A.O. Smith family of products had 14 new Tier 1 models listed on March 17, 2015.


AirGenerate and Electrolux products were removed on March 17, 2015.
