​Leadership in Energy Efficiency Awards

In an ongoing effort to enhance collabor​ation and innovation within our region, it is important to recognize individuals and teams for their exemplary dedication and performance in Energy Efficiency. During NEEA’s Annual Meeting on December 4, 2018 we will present three awards:

  • The Leadership in Energy Efficiency Award for Innovation – Recognizes outstanding achievement in utilizing or promoting innovative solutions that help the region achieve more energy efficiency
  • The Leadership in Energy Efficiency Award for Collaboration – Recognizes outstanding achievement in collaborating with multiple individuals and/or organizations to help the region achieve more energy efficiency
  • The Eckman Lifetime Achievement in Energy Efficiency Award – Recognizes outstanding achievement of an individual whose career has greatly contributed to energy efficiency in the Northwest

Submit Your Nomination


Eligibility:

Individuals, organizations, group/teams, programs, and projects that reside in the Northwest are eligible. This includes any public or privately owned utilities, government agencies, or regional energy efficiency organizations, non-profits, or contractors. Individuals may nominate themselves.

Deadline:

Submissions are due by September 14, 2018


Judging and Criteria:

A panel of energy efficiency leaders from throughout the Northwest will review the submissions and select the winners based on the following criteria. The Innovation Award
This award recognizes outstanding achievement in creating, utilizing or promoting innovative solutions that help the region achieve more energy efficiency. An innovative solution is one that seizes an opportunity, delivers value or satisfies an existing need more effectively than alternative technologies or solutions, or has positive impact beyond energy savings (i.e. job creation, environmental stewardship, etc.).

The Collaboration Award
This award recognizes outstanding achievement in collaborating with multiple individuals, groups, and/or organizations to help the region achieve more energy efficiency.

The recipient of this award demonstrates the following characteristics:

  • Places regional or team goals above personal goals.
  • Creates team environment, is respectful of differences, solicits diverse views, builds consensus, shares knowledge and promotes knowledge sharing, maintains positive attitude, effectively engages team.
  • Is welcoming of new ideas, new team members or groups.
  • Is ready to volunteer when the team needs support.

The Lifetime Achievement Award
This award recognizes the outstanding achievement of an individual whose career has greatly contributed to the advancement of energy efficiency in the Northwest.


Additional Details

NEEA staff will invite recipients to receive their award in person at NEEA's Annual Meeting.

Note: For the Innovation and Collaboration awards, if an organization, group/team, program or project is the award recipient, one person representing that organization/group/team/program/project will be asked to receive the award on behalf of their team/group/organization.
