From 2009 to 2014, on behalf of the region NEEA influenced the regional and, by extension, national and global market for energy efficient television technologies.  Partnering with California utilities, retailers were paid an incentive for selling the most efficient models available on the market.  The program will generate over 358 aMW in savings for the region over 20 years.

In July 2014 the Initiative entered Long-term Monitorning.  During this phase industry trends will be monitored to ensure continued market progress.  Collected market data will be leveraged to influence future ENERGY STAR specifications and state and fedarl standards.
