Utility Installation Data Sharing

Utilities play a key role in providing visibility into market adoption of ductless systems and heat pump water heaters through installation data. Installation data is important to NEEA programs because it can:

  • Increase understanding of how activities are influencing the market
  • Improve tracking of market metrics, such as product cost

The NW Ductless Heat Pump Project and Hot Water Solutions receive utility data at the end of each calendar year through NEEA’s planning and evaluation efforts, but would also like to receive mid-year data from partners. This helps the team make program adjustments closer to real-time, if needed, and share any trends with partners.

What data fields are the programs looking for? Anything you’re willing and easily able to share. See the Hot Water Solutions template and the NW Ductless Heat Pump Project template for the full set of data fields the programs are interested to receive. Data sharing can be done via secure FTP site, contact the team to coordinate access.

Both programs are also interested in using this data to populate additional contacts for Market Progress Evaluation Reports (MPER) research. If you do share data, please indicate if you are also releasing it to be used for MPER efforts – many incentive application forms already include a disclaimer for this kind of sharing. Both Hot Water Solutions and the NW Ductless Heat Pump Project are willing to enter into a non-disclosure agreement with partners for any data sharing efforts.
