The primary objective of the Sr. Project Manager is to effectively manage and coordinate codes and standards activities with NEEA’s internal program and product group teams.  During this time of increased Federal standard activity, this position will help facilitate comments for consumer products in response to DOE requests for comments.  This position is an integral part of NEEA’s strategic efforts to lock in savings for products that have demonstrated economic and efficiency value to the region.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $112,000

  • Note: This position is for a limited duration, 6-months to 1-year. Consideration may be taken to convert to a regular full-time employee, at this time it is a limited duration role.

 The Typical Day May Include…

  • Partnering with NEEA’s codes and standards engineers to develop strategic plans for product groups and market transformation programs.
  • Collaborating with NEEA’s program teams to deepen the understanding of the codes and standards processes.
  • Developing business processes to tie program strategies more closely with codes and standards processes.
  • Collaborating with national and international standards and ratings organizations to improve product testing and labeling methods to accurately prove product performance and efficiency levels. This position will have a focus on consumer products.

Your Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Experience with the process of developing and implementing residential and commercial building codes.
  • Experience with the process of developing and implementing Federal and State product standards.
  • Requires at least 7 years of experience managing large scale projects, preferably on Commercial office buildings, energy efficiency or business process management fields.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business or related field required.
  • Certification such as LEED, CEM, CPM are desirable.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties.
