Allumia is seeking a highly motivated, outgoing, and self-aware project manager for our quickly growing efficiency company. We’d like to talk to you if you’re engaged, thoughtful, and know how to use a big-picture understanding to make day-to-day decisions.

  • Help businesses save electricity by paying for their energy efficiency upgrades (usually LED lighting upgrades), charging them only a portion of their measured energy savings for a set term—we sell efficiency itself.
  • Are a small but rapidly growing Seattle company, with projects in 15 states
  • Stay engaged in refining the way that we do business, and spend time each week on improving how we work together
  • Care about reducing American energy consumption
  • Are funny (or at least we think so), and we spend time relating to each other as people

Consider contacting us if you:
  • Understand competing priorities and allot your time strategically
  • Enjoy challenge, and have done challenging things
  • Have some solid analytical thinking chops, ideally some comfort with excel or databases
  • Actively work to improve the processes you use, and have done so successfully
  • Are a capable communicator, who often thinks about tone and clarity
  • Are passionate about making a positive environmental impact
  • Bonus points for background/knowledge in construction, contracts/negotiation, applied math, programming, lighting, or electricity

Your job would be to:
  • Research energy efficiency projects and complete due diligence on new contracts to confirm their viability
  • Find and negotiate with contractors for efficiency project installation
  • Track timelines and coordinate between contractors and clients
  • Collect all information and documentation required at every stage of the project
  • Enter data required for, and check the results of, efficiency modeling tools
  • Develop electrical metering schema to track project performance
  • Close out projects by compiling documentation and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Do any number of other tasks—we’re a small company where everyone pitches in. You’d be expected to start and take over pet projects.
  • Engage regularly in questions about company process, and provide feedback to your manager and colleagues
Allumia is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We relish diversity and do not tolerate harassment. We’re committed to making a safe and excellent workplace for all.
