Progress continues on the next round of CBSA data collection!

Guided by two regional work groups, the CBSA study design contractor has provided final recommendations on the approach to sampling and commercial building survey variables. The plan, provided as a resource on the CBSA Interest Group, describes a shift towards a two-stage sampling approach that uses geographic sampling and on-line mapping/observation tools to create a virtual catalog of known buildings and their features, from which the second stage selection for site inspection will occur.

NEEA will release an RFP for the field work required to complete the project this week. Those interested in contracting for this project should expect the RFP to be distributed by October 10.

Utilities affected by the project have an opportunity to participate in work groups focused on  customer contact and communications. This group will be recruited in Q1 2018 and will have responsibility for developing protocols through which sampled buildings will be contacted and establishing coordination points for each utility.

Final and public documents created to support this project are (and will continue to be) posted on Conduit. For additional information or to be included on an interested parties list, please contact Dulane Moran at NEEA dmoran@neea.org.
